The Bas-Reliefs are an interesting and innovative way for Frederic Lanovsky to apply more of his creativity into Art.
He bends and twists wire and iron to sculpt his mobiles.
These three dimensional pieces are often animated by a small electric motor or by a manual crank.
Once turned on, the elements move and balance in changing harmony.
By looking at these mobiles, one can recognize Frederic Lanovsky’s passion for volume and movement in space. We can also admire his genius for mixing bright colors together which makes any of his sculptures literally come to life !
As always, he likes to “create” on a large scale.
Some of his Bas-Reliefs can be as tall as 10 Feet high.
